About

Josh Ortega, a U.S. Army veteran, is attempting to translate his military skills into a career as a journalist in the 21st century.

The San Diego native found journalism as a career from former San Diego Union sportswriter, the late Jack Murphy, whose writings many attribute to attracting the San Diego Chargers football team to America’s Finest City in 1960.

After serving four years as an Army Medic, Josh returned to college to finish his bachelors degree and graduate from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.
